Partially. ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini send referral traffic with identifiable source domains (chatgpt.com, perplexity.ai, gemini.google.com) — tag those in analytics. For queries where you weren't clicked, the only reliable method is prompting each engine directly and inspecting the cited sources panel.
No. ChatGPT search uses Bing's index plus its own crawler (OAI-SearchBot). Perplexity runs its own crawler (PerplexityBot). Gemini leans on Google's index but re-ranks results using different citation signals than Search. Ranking well on Google does not guarantee citation in any of them.
ChatGPT and Perplexity typically re-fetch high-authority pages every 1–3 weeks; long-tail pages can take 4–8 weeks. Schema and on-page changes usually reflect in citations within 2–4 weeks. Track your citation rate monthly, not daily.
